A dining room for forty-six inside a restored 1889 glasshouse, cooking only what the walled garden around it gave us that morning.

Maren Holt and four gardeners grow for one kitchen.
Everything on your plate grew inside the walls you can see from your table. Maren walks the beds at seven, the kitchen writes the menu at nine, and whatever the frost took or the birds found first is simply not on it. Some days that is eleven dishes; some days, seven.

On Sunday evenings the glasshouse closes to everyone but one party: a menu written with you, the garden lit by lanterns, and the room for as long as you like.
Luncheon is served in the glasshouse from noon. Tea is served on the lawn when the weather lets us.
When
Closed for the first two weeks of January.
Getting here
Fifty minutes by train from the city, then a ten-minute walk from Wrenfield station along the orchard path. Free parking at the garden gate, and a rack for bicycles.
