Seven things that come up over and over in the demo inbox and at the booking line — submitting tracks, mixing and mastering rates, what we keep and what you keep, and what a session day actually looks like in the live room.
One private streaming link, two tracks, and a one-paragraph note about the project — sent to demos@example.com. We listen to every submission ourselves and reply within three weeks; if a track sticks, we set up a call. Please don't follow up before then, and please don't attach mp3s — the inbox bounces anything over 8MB.
Yes. Mix is $450 per song with one revision pass, mastering is $90 per song or $720 for a full LP — both flat-rate, no buybacks on stems. We work in 24-bit / 48k as standard, deliver the master in CD, vinyl-cut, and streaming-loudness flavors, and can turn a track around in three to five working days when the schedule is open.
Eight-hour blocks, 11am to 7pm with a one-hour break, in the live room with the engineer at the desk. Coffee, tea, and lunch run on the house; you bring instruments, charts, and the people who need to be in the room. Most singles land in two days; an EP usually closes in five.
Of course. The desk is yours for the booking — our engineer can run the room, sit second, or stay out of the way entirely. We just need their name on the booking confirmation a week ahead so studio access keys are cut, and a quick walkthrough on day one so nobody fights the patchbay.
You do. Every project leaves with both the stereo masters and the full multitrack session on a dated drive — no escrow, no clauses, no recall fees. If you ever want a remix or a remaster years later, we'll re-open the session at a discounted hourly; if you want to take the files to another room, that's the whole point.
Both, on different tracks. The studio is open to anyone with a booking; the label takes one or two artists a year, mostly through the demo inbox above. Label deals are 50/50 net after recoupable costs, capped at three records, with masters reverting to the artist after seven years — written in plain English, not boilerplate.
Yes. We travel with a 16-channel mobile rig within 200km, billed at the studio day-rate plus mileage. Live recordings come back as both a multitrack for later mix and a printed stereo board feed for same-night posting. Drop us a line at least a month ahead so the calendar lines up — festival weekends sell out fast.
