The 47-point checklist

Every car booked for correction or ceramic runs the same sheet. Nothing is skipped because the bay is busy.

Intake — 9 points

  • Paint depth gauged on all panels, logged per car
  • Panel gaps and trim condition photographed
  • Existing coating or sealant identified and recorded
  • Glass, wheels and arches inspected for prior damage

Decontamination — 12 points

  • pH-neutral pre-wash and two-bucket contact wash
  • Iron fallout and tar dissolved, not abraded
  • Mechanical decontamination with fresh clay per car
  • Wheels removed for barrel and arch cleaning

Correction — 18 points

  • Test section cut and refined before full passes
  • Depth re-read after each stage, per panel
  • Edges and complex curves finished by hand
  • Panel wipe under 6500K to confirm no fillers remain

Protection and handover — 8 points

  • Ceramic applied in three hand-levelled layers
  • Twenty-four hour cure indoors, no exceptions
  • Gloss and DOI readings recorded against intake
  • Aftercare sheet and warranty issued with the keys
