Most of our clients came from another firm, or from doing the books themselves at night. These are the seven things they asked first.
9 days
the average switch, in working days
Yes. We take over from your last closed month, ask your old firm for the prior-year return and workpapers with your signature, and rebuild nothing that is already right. The average switch takes nine working days.
We quote catch-up work as a fixed, one-off fee before we start: usually one month of your plan for every three months to rebuild. You get a dated list of what was missing and what we assumed.
QuickBooks Online or Xero. If you have neither, we set up the one that fits your bank and your industry. The subscription stays in your name, so the books are yours if you ever leave.
On Books + Tax and CFO desk we file by the deadline when your documents reach us 30 days ahead. If something is missing we file the extension, tell you what waiting costs, and estimate the payment so there is no penalty.
Payroll runs, filings and W-2s are part of CFO desk, and can be added to either other plan for $45 a month plus $6 per employee. 1099s for contractors are included from Books + Tax up.
We do, from Books + Tax up. We watch your sales against each state's threshold, register you where you cross it, and file the returns. You approve every registration before it is made.
Email your CPA. Monthly plans end at the next month-end close; annual plans are refunded for the full months left. You keep the software, the ledger and every workpaper.
